Well I’ve found the solution to a problem that I didn’t think I had – and one that combines two loves: motorcycling and V8s!
Lazareth, a French builder of very low volumes motorcycles and tricycles has added another wild ride to their list of vehicles and as with many of their products there will only be 10 built and several have already been sold!
The LM-847 is a motorcycle with a difference. For a start it is powered by a Maserati 4.7 litre V8, straight from a GranTurismo, GranCabrio or 5th generation Quattroporte. I don’t know what tuning they have applied, however they still quote 470hp!! The motor is so big that where the fuel tank would normally be on a motorcycle, you see the top of the motor in all its glory. The design is so compact with all the cooling equipment squashed in, you actually can’t see much of the tank!
The bike actually has four wheels shod with Michelin Power Cup Evo tyres and they are mounted to look like a standard motorcycle and due to the weight and basic physics, it uses a similar balancing system that the 3 wheeled Piaggio scooters use.
The back end has two trailing arms and two chains to deliver all that power to the wheels via a torque converter that controls the delivery so in essence it doesn’t have a gearbox like a traditional machine. Frankly, it would be a wide ride if you had to work your way through a sequential box!
This is one bike I would really like to ride!

That is so cool, absolutely what to take it for a ride …
